The research on low back pain teaches us that nearly 80% of the population will experience low back at some point in our lives.  For those coming to physical therapy, treatment needs to include alleviation of the immediate symptoms/limitations but more importantly, an education and a plan on how to avoid future episodes of low back pain.  I tend to take a holistic approach to both low back and neck pain looking at all the influences on the presenting problem and using both traditional and complementary treatment techniques to restore full, pain-free mobility.
