Chronic pain
Chronic pain has become a significant health problem over the last decade particularly as research has shown opioid medication to be a risky treatment approach. Physical therapy is taking the lead on non-opioid approaches to treatment of chronic pain. Therapy in my office focuses on movement, breathing, alignment, mobilization of joints and soft tissue, and other complementary approaches to identify and relieve the source of pain. Modalities are used only when necessary to allow for greater movement.
